Apps from Actual Concepts are designed to provide interactive education through fun. This App helps in interactively exploring Optics-Reflection and their applications using real time simulations (The list of simulations and activities that can be performed on the simulations are given below).
The simulations are highly touch enabled and are designed game-like so that people would love to play around with the simulations and at the same time can gain a deeper understanding of science concepts. At the same time these simulations raise the inquisitiveness and help to experiment and find solutions like - "What length of the mirror is required to view yourself full size?"
Each simulation also has a detailed list of activities that can be performed on the simulation. Once the activity is performed you can verify your answers for the activities performed. You can touch and alter several parameters like the focal length, angle, object distance, image distance and see the impact of altering these parameters on the experiment.
You will learn to draw step by step detailed ray diagrams for convex mirrors, concave mirrors, plane mirrors in addition to learning about the image characteristics in each of the scenarios. You can touch and drag the objects, adjust the height of the object etc., to figure out the ray diagrams corresponding to the specific position and size of the object.
This App is a must for your reference library if you are Science enthusiast.
The simulation name and the activity that can be done on the simulation are briefed below -
1. Plane Mirror - Image characteristics : Learn about lateral inversion and other image characteristics.
2. Law of reflection
3. Ray diagram for Plane Mirror : Learn step by step ray diagram construction of a Plane mirror
4. Length of the mirror is required : Explore what length is required to view your full size image, by adjusting the height of the mirror and the object distance
5. Plain mirrors at angles - Multiple images : An intuitive way to figure out why multiple images are formed when mirrors are at angles to each other.
6. Look into the mirror and trace the path:A game to learn about reflection symmetry and lateral inversion
7. Ray diagram construction-Convex mirror: A step by step interactive that lets you draw ray diagram for convex mirror
8. Convex mirror - Image characteristics
9. Convex mirror - Radius of curvature and f : Learn how the curvature impacts focal length by bending the mirror!
